Planned support

Mac support is planned.

There is no public Mac package yet. This page exists to clarify the planned direction and avoid presenting Linux or Windows artifacts as Mac downloads.

Planned package model

Mac support should follow the same product release discipline as Windows and Linux: platform-specific package artifacts published through Buffaly installer releases, clear checksum validation, and install instructions that match the actual package.

Expected runtime identifiers: `osx-arm64` and `osx-x64`.
Likely first package format: tarball or app bundle, to be decided when implementation starts.
Launch integration should use a Mac-appropriate script or LaunchAgent path, not the Linux systemd path.
Download links should not appear until release artifacts exist.

Do not use Linux packages on Mac

Linux tarballs target Linux runtime identifiers and Linux launch behavior. Wait for a Mac release artifact before installing Buffaly on Mac.
